SEGOVIA

Segovia is a city of Castilla and Leon region. Spain. It's really a beautiful city, a perfect place to relax and to enjoy fresh air, I have had a great time there. The climate is continental-mediterranean, cold and dry, resulting from the high altitude and the distance from the coast.

I enjoyed the history, is a incredible historical town. The first place that I have visited was The Alcazar of Segovia, a huge castle rising out on a rocky crag above the confluence of two rivers, one of the most distinctive castles in Spain by virtue of its shape. The Alcázar was originally built as a fortress but has served as a royal palace, like many spanish fortifications, started off as an Arab fort. This magic castle was one of the inspirations for Walt Disney's Cinderella Castle. 

Then I went to another fantastic place to see, the Cathedral of Segovia, a Roman Catholic religious church which is located in the main square of the city and was built in the mid-sixteenth century. I didn't forget to visit the most important and famous historical monument, simbol of the city, The Aqueduct of Segovia, in one second I felt I was in Rome. It's one of the most significant and best-preserved ancient monument, left on the Iberian Peninsula, it was builted to transport water from Fuente Fria river. 

At night I went to a pretty bar to have a drink, with the lights everything around was beautiful. Staying in Segovia was one of the most interesting experiences, the city takes you back on time, like travel from a culture to another one. The tipical meal in Segovia is pork, even that it's not a recomended meat, if you are in Segovia would be a crime not to try it, it's delicious, they make it in a special way in the oven. The perfect meal and place to relax, so go and enjoy it!

Segovia es una ciudad de la región de Castilla la Mancha. Realmente un sitio maravilloso, un lugar perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de aie fresco. Tuvo una estancia estupenda allí. El clima es continental-mediterráneo, frío y seco, resultado de su elevada altitud y lejanía del mar.

Disfruté de su historia, es verdaderamente una ciudad histórica. El primer sitio que he visitado ha sido El Alcázar de Segovia, un gran castillo elevado sobre una roca entre dos ríos, uno de los castillos más distinguidos de España por su silueta. El Alcázar fue originariamente construido como una fortaleza que servía como palacio real, como otras muchas fortificaciones españolas y que empezaron como edificaciones árabes. Este mágico castillo se utilizó como inspiración para el personaje Cenicienta de Walt Disney.

Después fui a otro lugar fantástico, la Catedral de Segovia, una iglesia religiosa católica romana que está localizada en la plaza principal de la ciudad, construida en el siglo XVI. No olvidé visitar el monumento histórico más importante y conocido, símbolo de la ciudad, El Acueducto de Segovia, en un segundo sentí que estaba en Roma. Es uno de los más significantes y mejor conservados monumentos de la península ibérica, construido para transportar agua desde el río Fuente Fría.

Por la noche fuí a un bar precioso para tomar una copa, con las luces alrededor todo estaba increíble. Quedarme en Segovia ha sido una de las mejores experiencias, la ciudad te envuelve a otra época, como viajar de una cultura a otra. La comida típica es el cochinillo asado, aunque no recomiendo mucho esta carne, este plato hay que probarlo porque es delicioso, sería un crimen ir a Segovia y no comer cochinillo. Lugar maravilloso y comida buena, no se puede pedir más, os recomiendo ir y disfrutarlo.
